On Friday, March 8th Faith Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society performed for Dexter students as part of our Read Across America celebration. Read Across America is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually during the first week of March.  The event coincides with the celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd.  In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday the students acted out two Dr. Seuss stories, “The Cat in the Hat” and “The Cat in the Hat Comes Back.”  The students used clever props and gestures to act out the two beloved tales.  When they were finished, they led the Dexter students in a song about Dr. Seuss to the familiar tune of “Bingo.”

Dexter Elementary would like to thank our neighbors at Faith Middle School for the fun and interactive performance!
