Mr. Wayne Carter Named Principal of Zama MHS at Camp Zama, Japan

Dr. Steven Bloom, Pacific East Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Wayne Carter as Principal of Zama MHS at Camp Zama, Japan.

Mr. Carter obtained his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Morgan State University in 1984, his teacher’s license from University of Arizona in 1995, and his master’s degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from Old Dominion University in 2002.

Mr. Carter taught Social Studies and History at the middle school level for 8 years in Tucson, Arizona and Newport News, Virginia. He has 16 years of school administrator experience as an Assistant Principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, and as a middle school Principal.

Mr. Carter grew up in a military family, and later served on active duty as a US Army Military Intelligence Officer. He is retired from the US Army Reserves.

Mr. Carter believes that all students can and will learn. He recognizes that all students must have the instructional resources and educational opportunities to achieve their goals and objectives in the 21st century classroom and school. He is very excited about serving the DODEA and Camp Zama community.
