Ramey School, Acosta
Mayaguez | March 2, 2017
The team competed against twelve schools from Puerto Rico. The members of the team
are: eighth grader, Nicolas Proskauer, seventh grader, Janat Khan and sixth grader, Michael Algarin. This competition functions as a way to provide new opportunities of engagement in math to middle school students. Also, it helps them to reach their full potential whether they love math or fear it. This competition provides the chance to further display their mathematical abilities and motivate young students around Puerto Rico to participate in math related activities. These three students are a small example of the goal Ramey School has, which is to increase mathematical proficiency in all students. Our school is extremely proud of these students, and hope that their achievement paves a way towards mathematical excellence for other students to follow.
