FCHS strives to recruit more students for AP courses

About 40 students and parents congregated at Fort Campbell High School April 14 to participate in the school's second annual "AP Potential Recruitment Fair."

The walls of The Commons at FCHS were lined with colorful booths, displaying posters and pamphlets about the 17 advanced placement courses offered at the high school including Studio Art, German, U.S. Government and European History.

Advanced placement courses are college-level courses offered to high school students that reflect what colleges teach at the freshman level and may provide college credits upon successful exam completion.

Sarah Coyne, FCHS AP coordinator, said the event is held around this time each year to inform students about their AP opportunities at FCHS and to encourage them to enroll. Read more
