Ramey School Presents Our Candidate For US Presidential Scholar

We would like to congratulate senior Carmen Andrade for being nominated as a US Presidential Scholar Candidate. This award recognizes and honors the nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Carmen has had an exceptional high school record, demonstrating excellence in the classroom and service in the community. Not only has she been actively involved in our school community through her leadership in extracurricular activities like NHS, math team, cross-country, soccer and track, but also outside including international service missions. She has also earned the highest recognition for a Girls Scout, the Gold Medal, an award achieved by only the most tenacious of youth.  Carmen has earned the respect of her teachers and peers for her ability to lead when necessary and follow when appropriate. All these qualities have earned her this well deserve recognition for her hard work. 

The Presidential Scholars program involves a rigorous, multi-step selection process. Carmen recently completed and submitted her application. We wish her the best in this process and in her future as she prepares to transition into the next stage of her life.
