On September 23rd & 24th, eight Kubasaki High School Dragons joined students from across the Pacific Region for a virtual Far East STEMinars experience. Our students virtually connected with experts in various fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and were provided a solid basis for student research so that they may complete a year-long research project for the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) Pacific Regional Competition in March 2021. Virtual sessions, led by university-level educators, scientists and STEM practitioners, gave our students opportunities to ask experts about their research projects. Though they missed the "in person" experience at the University of Tsukuba in Tokyo, our students were pleased with the virtual experience.
