A group of students from Fort Campbell High School took part in the U.S. Army High School Challenge. The students were a mix of the Physical Education and Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) classes.

According to School Counselor Stacy Daniels, the challenge was designed to develop teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills.

“Our students demonstrated their physical fitness and mental strength,” said Daniels. “Each endeavor was an opportunity for the students to see themselves as active members of a group and reveal which have a knack for taking the lead.”

The challenge included events like the “Victory Wall” that required teams to scale a wall by stepping on pegs, but each time a peg was used it was removed, and the “Air Lift,” where teams had to balance a ball on a platform while moving around the course as a group.
