Ramey School's Top Speller!

Aguadilla Puerto Rico
Ramey School | March 21, 2018

Ramey School's fifth grader Abner-Obed Cardona won 2nd place in the island

wide competition held on March 20, 2018. He has attended Ramey School since

the second grade. In the competition, he spelled words such as "nemesis",

ubiquitous", "dichotomy" and "kirtle". Last year, Abner won the school

championship and participated in the island wide competition, unfortunately he

was eliminated in the first round. This year he undertook intense study

sessions. He worked on keeping calm, studying the words, and listening to

pronunciation. This hard work resulted in winning the 2nd place against 32

other schools. This is truly a remarkable story of hard work and not giving

up.
