Dexter Elementary students gave two great performances in the month of April.  On Thursday, April 11th, Dexter's 2nd and 3rd Grade students held a Spring Musical performance.  The theme was “Around the World” and the students performed musical pieces from different countries and cultures.  Countries represented in the program included: Ghana, Egypt, Japan, Germany, Columbia, Canada and The United States.  Some songs were even performed in their native languages.  Students also played drums, xylophones and other percussion instruments during the performance.

On April 16th and 17th Dexter Elementary's Drama Club performed "Talk Show Twist" at WHINSEC's Bradley Hall.  The musical play featured characters from Hollywood, Fairy Tales, the Brothers Grimm and Greek mythology as hosts and guests on a humorous "Where they are now?" daytime talk show. The students plan to give an encore performance to the student body as part of Dexter's Month of the Military Child celebration.  Dexter Elementary would like to thank our Partners in Education at WHINSEC for allowing us to use their facilities for this very special event.
