Fort Knox Eagles are proving fierce on their home turf these days. Friday’s homecoming victory was no exception.
Seniors Kaylon Luster and Maleeq Walters each earned more than 150 rushing yards as the Eagles’ defense held Louisville’s Shawnee to minus-20 offensive yards in a 74-0 domination at McAdams Field to close the regular season.
Luster ran for 160 yards and three touchdowns on four carries, while Walters had 150 yards and three scores on 10 attempts.
The Eagles (3-7) finished with 487 yards, all on the ground. Junior T.J. Pittman added 73 yards and a touchdown on five carries, while senior Hector Villalpando and junior Devon Buddie also scored rushing touchdowns.
Buddie also returned a fumble 40 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.
Fort Knox will travel to Russellville at 7:30 p.m. Friday for the first round of the Class 1-A playoffs.
