The Ft. Benning Family Advocacy program treated Dexter students to a play on Friday, April 13th to celebrate Month of the Military Child. The program featured famous sports figures from A-Z. Each athlete who was highlighted contributed to his or her sport in some positive way.  Some of the topics included:  fair play, teamwork, breaking down racial or gender barriers, healthy living, and fitness. Athletes featured included: Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Wayne Gretzky, Arthur Ashe, Jackie Robinson, Wilma Rudolph, Babe Didrikson Zaharias, Yogi Berra and many others. Students enjoyed the humorous portrayal of the athletes and their tales of overcoming odds, promoting teamwork and enjoying their sport.

Dexter Elementary would like to thank the Ft. Benning Advocacy Program for sponsoring this show and for celebrating the Month of the Military Child with us.
