Ramey Senior Jeimy S was selected to receive the 2021 National Honorable Mention of the NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing. Of more than 4,200 applications submitted this year, Jeimy’s impressively made the top 400! She is among the top 9.5% of the applicants! Jeimy is also one of our first Ramey students to complete the Programming Pathway part of the Information Technology Career Pathway offered through the DODEA’s Virtual High School.
About NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) changes what is possible for women in technology from K-12 through career by offering the kind of encouragement that combats isolation, enables long-term persistence, opens doors, and changes lives. AiC uses program elements that spark interest in computing, recognizes and celebrates women’s technical aspirations and abilities, as well as the educators who support them and provides an expansive, supportive network.
Congratulations for this outstanding accomplishment!
