Proposed DoDEA Dress Code

Thank you for providing input on the proposed DoDEA-wide student dress code. The commenting period has ended; however, the mailbox will remain open until October 29, 2021.

DoDEA appreciates the many comments that have been submitted.  This a great start to our working together to establish a DoDEA-wide dress code.  As the next step in this process, Education Policy and Operations Division (EdOps) in collaboration with the Civil Rights Program will present your feedback to the DoDEA Civil Rights Steering Group (CRSG) for consideration.

K-2 8:00 a.m.-2:45 p.m.
Pre-K AM 8:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
Pre-K PM 12:15 p.m.-2:45 p.m.

Early dismissal is the 2nd Tuesday of the month 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

PK-AM: 8:00 a.m.-10:15 a.m.
PK-PM: 11:45 a.m.-2:00 p.m.


School Improvement Goals

School

  • The score on the Teacher Perception Component will move from “Not Healthy” category in SY 17-18 to “Healthy” category in SY 19-20 as measured on the Teacher Climate and Culture Assessment using the 3 Category Healthy Rating Scale.

Math

  • 2nd Grade: The percent of second grade students performing at proficiency on 2.OA.2 of the CCRSM: adding and subtracting within 100, will increase from 51% in SY17-18 to 57% in SY19-20 as measured by the EOY GoMath! Assessment.
     
  • 1st Grade: The percent of first grade students performing at proficiency on 1.OA.1 of the CCRSM: Adding and subtracting within 20 from 51% in SY17-18 to 57% in SY19-20 as measured by the EOY GoMath! Assessment.
     
  • Kindergarten: The percentage of students performing at proficiency on K.OA.2 of the CCRSM: Add and subtract word problems within 10, will increase from 80% in SY17-18 to 86% by May SY19-20 as measured by the EOY GoMath! Assessment.
     
  • Pre-Kindergarten: The percentage of students performing at proficiency on the Beginning of Year Assessment; number recognition and one to one correspondence, will increase from 25% in November 2018 to 40% in SY 19-20.

ELA

  • 2nd Grade: The percent of Second Grade students performing at proficiency or higher will increase from 29% in SY 18-19 to 50% in SY 19-20 as measured by a local writing rubric.
     
  • 1st Grade: The percent of First Grade students performing at proficiency or higher will increase from 18% in SY 18-19 to 40% in SY 19-20 as measured by a local writing rubric.
     
  • Kindergarten: The percent of Kindergarten students performing at proficiency or higher will increase from 8% in SY 18-19 to 40% in SY 19-20 as measured by a local writing rubric.
     
  • Pre-Kindergarten: The percent of Pre-Kindergarten students performing at proficiency or higher will increase from 25% in SY 18-19 to 40% SY 19-20 on a creative curriculum retelling rubric.
