Students at Elliott Elementary school celebrated Read Across America week from March 1 to March 4th. Each day they dressed up for a themed day related to a favorite Dr. Seuss book. Students and teachers alike wore mismatched socks for Fox in Socks day and green for Green Eggs and Ham day and everyone wore a smile each day. Students also enjoyed a guest reader each morning after the Morning Show had finished. What a fantastic way to celebrate reading!

T'was two days before break and all through the school students were working to follow the rules. The students we sitting together in rooms while they tried to wait patiently, but they needed break soon!

When all through the school their arose such a sound the children excitedly began to look around. They stood up quietly from their small little chairs and they used the time to silently prepare.

For they knew what was coming, they'd been waiting so long! It was time to dance to some holiday songs. So they hopped and they skipped and they moved all around while schoolwide big smiles sure did abound.
