Announcements

MCEC/Assessment/Information Night

On October 18, from 4:30-5:00, the Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) will present information on creating a school transition binder for your student. This can be especially helpful as you PCS with your children as they get to high school and tracking credits for graduation and applying to college.

At 5:00-6:00, Dr. Islas will present the information from DoDEA about the PARCC assessments that were taken last Spring. Students that were here at Faith will be given their personal results of the test. This meeting will be to inform families about the differences between the former test TerraNova and the new test PARCC. Students that are no longer at Faith will have their results mailed to them.

Finally, from 6:00-7:00 we will have many of the local high schools on hand to discuss application to their magnet programs. While this portion is geared toward 8th graders and their families, 6th and 7th graders with their families are welcome to attend if they will be here for the high school years.
This will make for a very long night and we understand if there are only parts of the evening that you would like to attend. Please feel free to come to the sections you feel are most relevant to you.
