Faith MS: Continuous School Improvement

Continuous School Improvement (CSI) is an ongoing process that helps schools focus their efforts in support of their mission and goals. Student performance and school/community data is analyzed and used to develop plans to ensure all students are learning and progressing toward achievement of academic standards.

The CSI Leadership Team meets on Thursdays after school. Parents are always welcome!

Student Performance Improvement Goals

The Population of students at Faith MS is mobile and the faculty realizes that our students must learn to adapt and become independent and increasingly self-reliant. The staff at Faith MS recognizes the changing needs of our students and is committed to adapt instruction to meet the needs of our unique population of learners. Our current school improvement plan focuses on two areas of identified need, they are writing and math problem solving.

Goal 1: By June 2016, all students will improve their ability to use appropriate editing skills and will demonstrate knowledge of writing conventions through identifying and correcting errors in text.

Indicators of Success

Improvements will be measured by TerraNova 3rd Edition and school based writing assessments.

Goal 2: By June 2016, all students will improve their mathematical problem solving and reasoning skills, as measured by Terra Nova 3rd Edition and school based math assessments.

Continuous Improvement Focus

All in-services, faculty and team meetings have a focus of continuous school improvement. Parents and student government leaders are involved in in-services and other selected meetings when possible.

Mission Statement Review

Stakeholders reviewed the mission statement at the beginning of the school year and consensus stated it embodied the current direction of the school. It is a source of pride that the school engages our families and the community.
