Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to Feltwell Elementary School, home of the Hedgehogs. We value you as a partner in your child's education and look forward to working with you this school year. Please take every opportunity to become involved in our school and in your child's education. A partnership between families and schools is essential to ensure a quality education for children.
Our goal at Feltwell is to deliver a high quality education program for children of all needs and abilities in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Our teachers are engaged and committed to individual needs of each student. Like all DODEA schools, we are richly resourced in technology with a computer lab, interactive whiteboards in every classroom and a large selection of electronic books available at home or in school. To augment classroom instruction, we also offer S.T.E.M., Spanish, music, art, P.E. and enrichment classes for all students on a weekly basis. After school opportunities abound with faculty members offering music, gardening, health/fitness and sign-language as after-school clubs. Additionally, our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) sponsors unique events for all students such as Fall Harvest Festival, monthly Family Movie Nights, Hedgehog Hangouts, the Spring Fling and many other special activities held throughout the year.
We are fortunate to have a rich supply of volunteers whose unique talents and diverse backgrounds contribute to our goal of delivering a meaningful and high quality educational program to every one of our students. Members of the military and parents volunteer on a regular basis by mentoring students and assisting with events held throughout the school year. Parents can also contribute by serving on our School Advisory Committee (SAC) and our dynamic PTO. I encourage you to e-mail, or better yet, stop by the school for more information on how you can assist as a volunteer. Additionally, your thoughts and ideas are always welcome. We recognize that your support and involvement is vital for our organization to reach its full potential.
Please feel free to stop by my office or contact me at any time by phone at 01638-527003 or e-mail at FeltwellES.Principal@eu.dodea.edu with any questions, suggestions or comments.
We look forward to seeing you in the school soon.
