The Heroes Elementary PTO is a nonprofit organization of Heroes staff members and parents & legal guardians of Heroes students and seeks to enrich the educational environment through supplemental materials and experiences. The PTO also strengthens the school community by sponsoring family events, promoting volunteer involvement, and enhancing communication.

The PTO makes recommendations and advises the principal on:

  1. school policies, student activities, and administrative procedures
  2. instructional programs and educational resources within the school
  3. allocation of resources within the school to achieve educational goals
  4. administrative and logistical support services provided by the installation commander and applicable service commands.

The PTO does not address matters pertaining to personnel policies or practices, compensation of school staff, grievances of school employees, or internal management of Heroes Elementary School or its programs.

Ways to get Involved

  • Dining to Donate - Great opportunity to join family and friends while helping raise money for our school. Each participating restaurant pays a share of their profits to our school. We would love to see you there - February 9th at Wendy's; the big one on base, from 5 to 8 PM!
  • Box Tops for Education - Each box top is worth ten cents. Collecting them is easy and fun. This is also a wonderful chance to work on a little math at home with your child!. Here is a sheet to help you organize and save those box tops. On the 23rd of February we will be cutting box tops that have been turned in for this fund raiser. We are always able to use a little extra help, free coffee included!!
  • Popcorn Sales Popcorn sales will run throughout the year. We need volunteers for this.

Feel free to get in touch with the PTO- e-mail them at !
