The first graders in Ms. Solberg's class have been studying the Iditarod race. They used the engineering process to create sleds using various materials such as popsicle sticks, math manipulatives, foil, etc. Ms. Solberg then "dressed up" Ozobots as the mushers, or dogs, who pulled the sleds on a line track that the Ozobots followed. The students competed against each other but learned that all of their sleds were too heavy to be pulled! Take a look at the feature segment in Eagle Eye News here.
Our school sends home newsletters often. Those are included here. One difference between the ones that come home and the ones here is that all student and teacher names were removed to protect privacy.
