Camp Lejeune | June 5, 2018
On Friday, June 1st, Heroes students participated in the annual Eagles Fun and Fitness Day. During this event, students ran around the school, stopping at one of the three water slides. K-5 students had fun getting their heart rate up as they ran or walked, and then they were able to cool down by going down the massive blow-up water slides. After the Eagles Run, students quickly got changed into dry clothes and had an all-school picnic with their families and friends. The Kona Ice truck came, serving treats to kids and adults alike! The day ended with a dance party on the blacktop led by DJ Finesse. Teachers and students danced, flossed, dabbed, and had a grand time!
This event was planned by a committee led by the PE coaches. The PTO donated time and money to the event and various Marines from units on Camp Lejeune volunteered their time to help.
