Kadena Elementary School Student Activities

KES offers a variety of after-school activities for students. Activities may change from year to year. Most activities are held directly after school. A list of activities to choose from will be provided to students. Parents will be responsible for transportation, and since membership is limited, students must make a commitment to consistent attendance and proper conduct. Further information and details will be published in our newsletter.

KES also holds a variety of events during the school year to get our community involved with the learning process as well. STEM week is celebrated nationally and at KES we host different military commands that show us the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the real world. Dr. Suess night is one of our favorite events celebrating the life and works of Dr. Suess by playing games, reading books, watching videos, and creating interactive lessons for both parents and students to enjoy. Another fun week is Red Ribbon week, where we celebrate our drug free atmosphere at KES by inviting bands to perform from all over Okinawa as well as providing fun activities for students throughout the week. All of these events are promoted and encouraged by our community Kadena Air Base.
