Mr. James is excited to be joining the staff of Kaiserslautern High School beginning with the 2020-21 school year. He has previously served the DoDEA Europe East district as the principal at Landstuhl Elementary Middle School where he also served as their assistant principal. His 8 years of leadership at LEMS was marked by many successes, all of which he is very proud. His proudest moment was LEMS's receival of the National Blue Ribbon School for the 2019-2020 school year, which is a culmination of a dedicated staff and school community.
Mr. James has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a teaching focus in Biology from The University of North Texas. He has a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Texas Woman’s University (Yes, men go there too). As a classroom teacher Mr. James taught 5th-7th grade science. While teaching 5th grade science he developed an environmental lab that was used as a Schoolyards Habitat training site for the National Wildlife Federation. His first position out of the classroom was in the professional development realm focused on an integrated approach of science and literacy. The team in which he worked was awarded the Outstanding Staff Development program from the Texas chapter of the National Staff Development Council. Prior to joining the DoDEA administration team, Mr. James served for 6 years as an assistant principal in North Texas where his campus consistently performed among the best in Texas.
Mr. James carries a strong belief that each child’s educational experience is important and he focuses his time on success for all. Outside of having high standards for the students, Mr. James finds equal importance on building strong collaborative relationships with parents, students, teachers, and the community. Further, he holds a deep value in shared leadership amongst staff and students. He always has an open door and readily welcomes visitors.
James is happily married to Lisa, his high school sweetheart. Together they have a son, Austin, who is a Kaiserslautern High School graduate (2017) and a daughter, Corie who graduated from KHS in 2020. In his spare time he enjoys spending time outdoors and living life to the fullest.

Mr. Jiménez graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, NY in 1985. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with an Asian Studies minor from Skidmore College, where he met his wife Stacey. After serving in the United States Army as a language specialist, Mr. Jiménez completed his Masters of Education in Educational Instructional Technology and Psychology from the University of Oklahoma in Norman in 1996. In addition, he also completed state certification in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Supervision in 1998.
Mr. Jiménez has served in education for over twenty years. He has always been committed to ensuring that his students are supported in their physical, emotional, social and academic growth. He had taught at Catholic parochial K-8 schools in New York City and the Bronx as well as public vocational and high schools in Oklahoma before joining DoDEA in 1998.
Mr. Jiménez served as a teacher and counselor in DoDEA-Japan and Georgia before coming to DoDEA-Europe; first as a high school counselor in Ansbach Middle High School and then as the Assistant Principal of both Bamberg Middle High School and Baumholder Middle High School. During these years, Mr. Jiménez was very active in the community in support of his belief that all community members are partners in educating and meeting the needs of all students. He had taught Sunday school classes, served as Cub Scout leader, performed in Community Theater, and attended numerous events and activities to foster positive working relationships between the school and community members.
Mr. Jiménez continues to support the infusion of technology in the school curriculum and works with each student individually to ensure they have what they need to be successful in meeting their goals. His basic philosophy is to support students through shared decision-making and collaboration with faculty, staff, district personnel, community members, parents and students.
Mr. Jiménez and his wife, Stacey, have three children. Mr. Jiménez enjoys reading, travel, and attending community events.
Ms. Adams is elated to be joining the staff of Kaiserslautern High School beginning in November of the 2020-21 school year. She comes to the DoDEA Europe East district from the DoDEA Europe West district, where she served as the Career and Technical Education Instructional Systems Specialist and acting assistant principal at SHAPE American Middle School.
Ms. Adams was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, graduating from the University of South Florida’s Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and minors in Biomedical Physics and General Public Health. Following undergraduate school, Ms. Adams graduated from Le Cordon Bleu as valedictorian and then earned her Masters of Education, with a concentration in Transformational Leadership, from Aspen University.
Ms. Adams’ teaching career began in Florida where she served as a Culinary Arts chef instructor and IB Biology instructor. While in Florida, she earned multiple awards for innovative and cross-curricular teaching, including multiple First in State (K-12) Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching Economics. Ms. Adams joined the DoDEA family in 2014 in the DoDEA Pacific East district, establishing the Culinary Arts program and serving as a Culinary Arts chef instructor and Biology instructor at Yokota High School in Tokyo, Japan. Throughout her career as an educator, she has always been an enthusiastic supporter of school and team morale and building relationships – serving for multiple years as Student Government advisor, culinary competition team advisor, class sponsor, sunshine committee chair, student and teacher recognition chair, and Instructional Leadership Team Chair for Continuous School Improvement.
Arriving from Brussels, Belgium, Ms. Adams is joined by her husband Joel, a guitarist and composer who has worked in DoDEA since 2015. In their spare time, they enjoy cooking together, traveling, and photography. They are thrilled to join the Kaiserslautern family and be a part of the stellar team of educators and staff who are dedicated to enriching our students’ education and lives at Kaiserslautern High School.
