The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The first case in the United States was announced on January 21, 2020. There are ongoing investigations to learn more.
No School for students Friday January 24h.

Kaiserslautern High School students do not have school on Friday January 24th.   

Classes will resume on Monday January 27th with Red Day classes.

Extended Absence Form

Parents, if your child will be absent and either condition below applies, please complete the extended absence form located under the Policies and Procedures area of this website within the Attendance section.  

  • Absences due to family vacations will be unexcused. Family trips due to parent deployment/block leave are excused and you must provide documentation from your command.
  • Absences over 3 days or more due to personal illness, serious illness in the student’s immediate family, a death in the student’s immediate family, religious holidays, emergency conditions such as fire, flood, or storm, and unique family circumstances warranting absence are coordinated with school administration.

Did You Know?

Did you know.....the Kaiserslautern High School Advisory Committee (SAC) meets monthly on the third Tuesday of the month.  Interested persons are encouraged to attend or submit their concerns to the committee electronically. 

Meetings start at 16:00 in the KHS Information Center.
