On behalf of the faculty and staff at Livorno Elementary Middle School (LEMS), I would like to welcome you (or welcome you back) to what promises to be a fantastic school year!
Our school is staffed with a highly qualified personnel who are committed to preparing every student for success. Because we are a small school, our faculty members are multi-talented and multi-tasked, teaching multiple grades and subjects and completing many additional duties. Our size is our strength; allowing us to give personalized attention to every student. We are committed to DoDEA’s mission to “Educate, Engage, and Empower military-connected students to succeed in a dynamic world.”
We strongly believe that the best education can be achieved for children when school, home, and community combine energies and talents. Ongoing communication between parents, teachers, students, administration, and the community is crucial. Volunteers are invited to help in the classrooms, library, cafeteria, playground, and even for after-school clubs and activities. We are extremely fortunate to have an active PTSO that is always looking for members and people willing to assist. Weekly LEMS Update emails are sent home and posted on Facebook along with announcements, reminders, and celebrations.
We strive to instill in our students an appreciation for the concept that learning is indeed a life-long process. We wish you and your child a most rewarding and successful school year.
