School Improvement

Continuous school improvement is an embedded behavior rooted in the school's culture that constantly focuses on the conditions, processes, and practices that improve teaching and learning. Schools use student performance results and analyze data from various interwoven components to develop plans and implement improvement actions to drive education quality and improved student outcomes.

Netzaberg ES Continuous School Improvement Goals

Goal 1, Literacy: By the end of SY 21-22, DoDEA Europe East will strengthen Tier 1 literacy instruction for all students for all students by ensuring all classrooms focus on CCR standards-based instruction and a guaranteed and viable curriculum (DoDEA adopted materials) as measured by 80% of students meeting/exceeding standards (80% of students will be in Tier 1) on the DoDEA Comprehensive Assessment System (DCAS) and noted on the Europe East District Assessment Matrix.

Goal 2, Math: By the end of SY 21-22, DoDEA Europe East will strengthen Tier 1 math instruction for all students by ensuring all classrooms focus on CCR standards-based instruction, inclusive of the Standards of Mathematical Practice (SMPs), and a guaranteed and viable curriculum (DoDEA adopted materials) as measured by 80% of students meeting/exceeding standards (80% of students will be in Tier 1) on the DoDEA Comprehensive Assessment System (DCAS) and noted on the Europe East District Assessment Matrix.

Goal 3, Behavioral / Social Emotional Learning: By the end of SY 21-22, DoDEA Europe East will strengthen Tier 1 instruction for all students by ensuring all classrooms support social-emotional learning to enhance CCR standards-based instruction, using the guaranteed and viable curriculum (DoDEA adopted materials) as measured by 80% of students meeting/exceeding Behavioral Social-Emotional Learning (BSEL standards) (80% of students will be in Tier 1) on the DoDEA Comprehensive Assessment System (DCAS) and noted on the Europe East District Assessment Matrix.

Goal 4, Focused Collaboration Teams: By the end of SY 21-22, DoDEA Europe East will strengthen Tier 1 instruction for all students by ensuring all focused collaboration teams (FCTs) focus on 80% of students meeting/exceeding standards (80% of students will be in Tier 1) on the DoDEA Comprehensive Assessment System (DCAS) and noted on the Europe East District Assessment Matrix, inclusive of CCR standards-based instruction and the guaranteed and viable curriculum (DoDEA adopted materials).

DoDEA Accreditation

Accreditation is the act of granting credit or recognition (especially with respect to an educational institution that maintains suitable standards). Educational accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which services and operations of educational institutions or programs are evaluated by an external agency to determine if applicable standards are met. If standards are met, accredited status is granted by the agency.
