Special Education

Special education is a program designed to provide for the special needs of students between the ages of 3 and 21 years of age. It consists of specially designed instruction which will address the individual needs of identified students. This program is the responsibility of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) and services are provided by the special educators and related services personnel. The student plan, which is developed for this program, is called an Individualized Education Program (IEP).
