Far East Cheer
DoDEA Pacific started hosting Far East Cheerleading competition in 1995 when it was held in conjunction with the Far East boys' basketball tournaments, at the conclusion of the winter sports season.
In 2000 the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) began providing a week of instruction and competition for DoDEA Pacific high school cheerleading teams. This occurs in early November. Teams learn chants, cheers, jumps, pyramids, dances, and safety. D-1 and D-2 champion teams are announced at the conclusion of the week.
