Kubasaki HS - PAC East Girls Soccer Champions

The Kubasaki girls soccer team traveled to Zama HS to participate in the 8 team Pac East tournament. Kubasaki was able to win all three pool play games, finishing first in their pool. Then they won a convincing quarterfinal game against Edgren before meeting Kinnick in the semifinals. Kinnick was very strong and the game was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation, which then went into overtime. Kubasaki dominated overtime with four goals for a final score of 5-2. Next up was the championship game against Yokota, who we had beaten in pool play earlier. The championship game remained close until Kubasaki scored two late goals to seal the victory 4-1. Overall, Kubasaki outscored their opponents 30-5 with ten goals coming from freshman Solares Solano who earned the Golden Boot. Solares, along with Amelie Rodriguez, Syra Soto, and Lilyana Solano earned All-Tournament honors.
