DoDEA-Pacific to offer Grab-and-Go meals to remote, virtual students

DoDEA Pacific Grab & Go Meal Program.

OKINAWA — August 19, 2020 — The Department of Defense Education Activity Pacific Region will provide meals to students in the remote and virtual learning environments through its Grab-and-Go meal program beginning Monday, August 24.

The Grab-and-Go meal program makes meals available for students who participate in the free and reduced meal program. Families who have been approved for free meals can pick up grab-and-go meals at no cost, and families approved for reduced cost meals can pick up a meal for 40 cents. Interested families who do not participate in the free and reduced meal program can purchase grab-and-go meals at the regular rate.

In order to pick up meals, families will need to wear appropriate face coverings and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

 


Locations and hours of operation for the Grab-and-Go meal program are as follows:

Okinawa

Offering lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Bechtel Elementary School
  • Kadena Elementary School
  • Kinser Elementary School
  • Lester Middle School
  • Zukeran Elementary School

Mainland Japan

Offering breakfast from 8-9:30 a.m. beginning August 31 at the following location:

  • Arnn Elementary School

Offering lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning August 24 at the following locations:

  • Arnn Elementary School
  • Darby Elementary School
  • Ikego Elementary School
  • Sasebo Elementary School
  • Shirley Lanham Elementary School
  • Sullivans Elementary School

Korea

Offering lunch from 10-11:30 a.m. beginning August 24 and breakfast from 8-11:30 a.m. beginning August 31 at the following locations:

  • Daegu Middle High School
  • Humphreys Central Elementary School
  • Humphreys West Elementary School
  • Osan Middle High School

Guam

Offering lunch from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. beginning Monday, August 24 at the following locations:

  • Andersen Elementary/Middle School
  • McCool Elementary School
