Far East Student Activities

OKINAWA — March 20, 2020 — Out of an abundance of caution and after reviewing all possible options, DoDEA Pacific has determined that it is in the best interests of our students and staff to cancel or modify several events for the spring semester, particularly those that involve student travel.

The following events scheduled for this spring will be impacted:

Event: Far East Track and Field

DoDEA understands the value these events bring to our students’ educational experience and that many will be disappointed by this decision; however, ensuring the health and safety of our students and employees is our highest priority.

We are reviewing several options once the DoD travel ban is lifted for athletic and academic events to take place at a community or district level in May. An update will be provided sometime in April.
