PACIFIC WEST — July 27, 2022 — Dr. Sherwood Pacific West District Superintendent is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Tiffiney Weddle as School Principal at Humphreys Central Elementary.

Ms. Weddle began her career in education in the fall of 1996 at a small rural school in central Mississippi. After serving in Mississippi public schools for three years, Ms. Weddle applied to the Department of Defense Dependents Schools in June of 1999 and began her first assignment in Okinawa in the fall of 1999.

She earned a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in May 1996 from Millsaps College. She was awarded a Master of Education in Gifted Education in August 2003 from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Ms. Weddle began studying technology in 2007 and served as an Educational Technologist for DoDEA for three years. Ms. Weddle began her post-graduate studies at the University of Southern Mississippi on the Ph.D. track in 2020.

Ms. Weddle’s professional experiences include teaching in all grades from kindergarten through eighth grade, as a classroom teacher, gifted education teacher, and educational technologist. Ms. Weddle served two years in the Pacific South District as an instructional systems specialist for Educational Technology. In June of 2010, Ms. Weddle served three years in the as Assistant Principal at Naples Elementary School. In 2013, Ms. Weddle was selected as principal at Sembach Elementary School and continued in leadership capacities as the principal at Seoul American Elementary School and Humphreys Middle School here in the DoDEA Pacific West District.

Ms. Weddle views a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful students. She believes partnerships with parents and community members are essential to enriching the experience at any school.

Ms. Weddle is enthusiastic to help our military-connected students on their educational journey to ensure they leave with the skills necessary to succeed as well as the curiosity, kindness, creativity, and growth mindset for success in our global community.
