Ramstein Elementary School

Ramstein Elementary School (RES) is a part of the Department of Defense Educational Activity (DoDEA) and is located in the Europe East School District.  RES serves approximately 860 children in grades Pre-K to 2.  Our multicultural student population is made up of dependents of American military, Department of Defense civilians, and NATO personnel.  Our faculty members also represent varied multicultural backgrounds and are from many of the 50 states as well as some foreign countries.  This diversity is a strength.

Ramstein Elementary School is located on Ramstein Air Base in the Rhineland-Pfalz Palatinate in Germany.  Specifically, the school is located in a residential area of the air base.  The school offers a wide range of academic programs including physical education, music, Foreign Language in the Elementary School (FLES) which is Spanish, German culture (known as Host Nation class), art, computers, as well as the basic curriculum of language arts, math, science, health, and social studies.  Ramstein Elementary School is one of the two schools in our district which offers a two year German Immersion program, which provides academic instruction in German and provides students with a strong foundation in a second language.

Our campus includes six buildings, several outdoor playgrounds, an information center, a computer lab, and all classrooms are connected to a LAN with Internet access.
