RIS Summer Office Hours

Ramstein IS school office will be open Monday through Friday from 0830 - 1500. RIS is closed on all weekends and federal holidays. We are located in building 999 on New York Avenue, near Ramstein Middle School. Look for the signs in the Commissary parking lot and follow the stairs to the office.

Beat the rush ... Don't delay school registration. As soon as you have found a home within the Ramstein District and you have your housing contract signed, parent(s) can register students at any time.

Tuesday 20 August: New Student & Parent Orientation. Families new to Ramstein IS can join one of the orientations at 1000 or 1400.

Friday 23 August: Open House. All families are invited to RIS from 1400 - 1530 to meet their homeroom and specialists teachers.

Monday 26 August: First Day of School. Welcome to the first day of the 2019-20 school year. School starts promptly at 0815 and dismisses at 1445. Allow yourself enough time to navigate through the morning traffic.

 

Paw Print

The Ramstein Intermediate School newsletter is provided through a parent e-mail distribution list. The Paw Print is published about twice a month and contains current information relevant to RIS. If you would like to receive the Paw Print, the school Administrative Officer can be contacted through emailing the .

Continuous School Improvement Goals

  1. Collaboration Goal: All educators at RIS will maintain effective weekly collaboration as measured by the DoDEA Europe East Collaboration Rubric by maintaining common student outcomes and assessment by the end of school year 2018-2019.

Strategy: Our school participates in the complex-wide modified school day on Thursdays to allow for formal collaboration time for educators.

  1. Literacy Goal: through school year 2018-2019, RIS will increase the overall number of students scoring proficient and advanced by 10%, as measured by the Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI).
