Dear Parents and Students,
On behalf of the faculty and staff I would like to welcome you to Rota Middle High School, Home of the Admirals. Our goal is to ensure that all students are prepared for college or career. As we implement the College and Career Readiness Standards our faculty meets every Thursday to collaborate, to look at student work and assessments, and to determine next steps in providing a rigorous curriculum for your students. In addition to the core courses, we offer a range of classes to include NJROTC, seven Advanced Placement courses, Gaming Technology, French, Spanish, German, Guitar, Career Practicum, Art and AVID.
The parent/student handbook has been developed to provide you with information on our educational programs, daily operational procedures, discipline, and attendance policies. If you have questions or concerns you are invited to call, e-mail or come in to talk with me or the Assistant Principal, Ms. Shana Seawright.
We encourage parents to become involved in our school's programs and special activities while living in the unique overseas environment here in Spain. We want all students to experience a successful, productive and rewarding school year.
We look forward to working with you and hope that you share our excitement and enthusiasm as we begin the school year.
Kristen Warner, Ed.D.
