Dear Parents, Students and Staff,
In accordance with the new CDC guidelines for K-12 schools announced on 27 July 2021, with an effective date of 28 July 2021, DoDEA has published Version VII of the DoDEA COVID-19 Operational Guidelines and Protocols for Schools.
Some of the key highlights from this change are:
Regardless of HPCON A, B, B+; ALL students, faculty, staff, visitors, parents, and contractors MUST wear a mask at all times regardless of vaccination status.
While indoors, ALL students, faculty, staff, visitors, parents, and contractors MUST wear a mask EVEN when they are physically distanced. This means – students physically distanced 3 feet in the classroom MUST still wear their mask. Adults physically distanced at 6 feet MUST still wear their masks.
Face shields are no longer allowed as a replacement for masks (Department of Defense).
We thank you for your patience and if you have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to reach out to your local school administrator.
