College and career readiness refers to the content knowledge and skills high school graduates must have in literacy and mathematics - including, but not limited to, reading, writing communications, teamwork, critical thinking and problem solving - to be successful in any and all future endeavors.

The Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science, and Technical Subjects (“the standards”) represent the next generation of K ‐ 12 standards designed to prepare all students for success in college, career, and life by the time they graduate from high school.

DoDEA Alternate Assessment

DoDEA Alternate Assessment

DoDEA Alternate Assessment assesses Alternate Content Standards (ACS) that are aligned to the DoDEA College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS). This assessment is designed to build a bridge from the content in the CCRS to academic expectations for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. Specific students in grades 3-8 and 11 enrolled in Literacy/English Language Arts and grades 3-6, 8, and 11 enrolled in mathematics will take this assessment.
