Welcome to E.A. White Elementary School, Ft. Benning’s newest 21st Century School. We are the neighborhood school that serves Patton 1, 2 and 3 and are proud to serve those military families. The motto and purpose statement for the school reflect our commitment in educating the whole child: “We work together to build Strong Minds, Healthy Bodies and Giving Spirits.” The open, collaborative spaces in our new building support 21st Century teaching and learning as grade level teachers and support personnel work together to ensure that every child has an optimal learning experience.
Opening in August, 2018, the new building is more than just a learning space…it is also a teaching tool. As a certified LEED Silver building, the school was built with low impact environmental and energy saving features. Teachers can incorporate information and activities from our energy dashboard, solar panels, wind turbine and other features in a variety of lessons. Conservation and the environment are areas of emphasis for us and you can see evidence of this in our recycling program, school garden initiative and energy conserving programs.
In addition to providing a nurturing learning environment for students, our teachers go the extra mile to ensure that children have co-curricular opportunities to extend their learning beyond the classroom. With the support of our active PTO and Partners in Education (2/58 Infantry and Officer Candidate School), we have been able to provide a variety of field trips, after school enrichment activities and special programs. We pride ourselves in our communication with our parents and other stakeholders and welcome opportunities for growth.
We are proud to say that we are E.A. White Lions….Hear Us Roar!!
