Zukeran Elementary School is part of the Department of Defense Educational Activity and provides excellent educational opportunities for approximately 450 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through fifth. Most students are dependents of military and civilian personnel supporting the United States military mission on Okinawa. While all services are represented, approximately sixty percent of our children are from Marine Corps families.
Zukeran Elementary School shares the vision of creating a community of learners actively engaged in the pursuit of the knowledge, skills and experiences necessary to empower all children to meet the challenges of the 21st century. This is achieved through the engagement of students in a vigorous, integrated approach to learning and technology. We continually strive for quality, equitable, and high expectations for all our children. We encourage parents to become involved with our school through volunteering in the classroom, PTO (Parent Teacher Organization), SAC, (School Advisory Council), and numerous school-wide celebrations and activities.
