DoDEA strives to build an equitable, enduring, accountable, and responsive organization that provides appropriate resources and direction to accomplish the Mission. To improve as an organization DoDEA will pursue two Strategic Initiatives around Organizational Excellence. Taken together, these initiatives will ensure that we have the tools we need to identify and meet the needs of all students within our system.
DoDEA is a future-ready organization committed to fostering timely and effective communication, enhancing decision- making, and encouraging innovation. Through adaptability and the responsible use of artificial intelligence and technology, we will navigate a dynamic world with confidence and integrity.
Why Statement: Why this now?
DoDEA’s need to provide efficient, transparent, and responsive communication and responsible, safe, and ethical use of artificial intelligence has never been more critical. We recognize that strong partnerships with families and communities are foundational to student success, and we must ensure that these relationships are nurtured through timely, accessible, and meaningful engagement. At the same time, emerging technologies and the rise of artificial intelligence are transforming how we live, learn, and work. DoDEA is preparing both students and employees to navigate and lead in a future where digital fluency, adaptability, and critical thinking are paramount. We must remain agile and resilient in the face of global change and commit to innovation and adaptability. DoDEA will nurture an efficient, future-ready system that empowers every stakeholder to thrive in a dynamic, interconnected world.

Systemwide Communication — We will improve the consistency of our systemic approach to communication to strengthen engagement and partnerships with our stakeholders, ensuring communities work together for student success.

Modernize use of Technology — We will create learning and working environments where artificial intelligence and technologies are used in responsible ways, modernizing our education and operation systems and processes.
