Dr. Donna Edmund
Biography
Dr. Donna Edmund is a seasoned educator and leader whose life reflects an unwavering commitment to service, mentorship, and family. Dr. Edmund began her teaching career in Georgia public schools and joined the DoWEA in 2006 as a Sure Start teacher in Vicenza, Italy. Most recently, she served as a first-grade teacher in the Mid Atlantic District, continuing her legacy of nurturing young minds with compassion and excellence. Throughout her career, she has held pivotal leadership roles, including Focused Collaboration Facilitator, CSI Chair, Faculty Representative Spokesperson, and Grade Level Leader — each reflecting her dedication to collaboration, advocacy, and instructional growth.
Dr. Edmund holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and an Ed.S. from Liberty University, an M.S. from Central Michigan University, and a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. Her academic journey laid the foundation for a distinguished 25-year career in education, spanning Sure Start through 5th grade.
Beyond her professional work, Dr. Edmund is a devoted wife to a retired United States soldier, a proud mother of four, and a grateful nana. She takes joy in mentoring youth in her community and cherishes time spent with her family, values that continue to shape her leadership and inspire those around her.
