Ms. Jaime Bybee

Biography

Ms. Jaime Bybee is a dedicated educator and leader with over a decade of experience supporting students across diverse educational settings. She began her career teaching 7th grade English Language Arts and PK–6th grade special education in Texas, where she also served as a school counselor for two years. For the past two and a half years, Ms. Bybee has continued her counseling work with DoWEA in Sasebo, Japan, providing comprehensive academic and emotional support to students and families.

Her commitment to student success is reflected in her leadership roles, including Grade-Level Department Chair, Focused Collaboration Chair, and Student Support Team Chair. In these positions, she led initiatives to strengthen instructional practices and enhance student services.

Ms. Bybee has a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Master’s in Counseling and Development from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She also possesses an administrative certificate, equipping her with the skills to lead with vision, empathy, and strategic insight. Her leadership approach is shaped by her experiences as a teacher and counselor. In recognition of her excellence in teaching, she was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2015.

As a former military spouse who lived in Babenhausen, Germany, Ms. Bybee brings a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by military-connected families. Her global perspective and commitment to all students fuel her passion for creating supportive, student-centered learning environments.

As she steps into her new role as Assistant Principal, Ms. Bybee is excited to continue building strong relationships, fostering collaboration, and championing interventions that ensure all students have the opportunity to thrive both academically and personally.
