Daegu ES: About Our School
Welcome to Daegu Elementary School!
Daegu Elementary School services students from Sure Start to fifth grade, along with a PSCD program. All classes operate in self-contained classrooms with special classes in Music, Art, Korean culture, and Physical Education for students in Sure Start to fifth grade. Specialists in Learning Disabilities, Speech Therapy, Advanced Academic Placement Services (AAPS), English as a Second Language (ESOL), Mathematics, and Reading are available to students SS - 5 who require additional services. Along with that, we have a full time School Counselor and School Psychologist on staff. Daegu Elementary School is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges, the largest school accrediting agency in the United States. At Daegu Elementary we believe everyday is a Great Day to be a Dragon!

School Improvement Goals
Goal 1: Mathematics
By the end of SY 2022-2023, 100% of students will show growth in modeling and reasoning, with students in grades 3-5 increasing their scores by 15% on the summative assessments for each grade band.
Goal 2: Reading/Writing
By the end of SY 2022-2023, 100% of students at Daegu ES will show growth in their written expression, with students in grades 3-5 increasing their scores by 20% on the summative assessment for each grade band.
