Choosing an Exceptional Life: A webinar about Family-Directed Resource Organizations

spot_MOS_WebinarParents and educators are welcome to participate in an upcoming webinar that will address resources for military family members with special needs by prominent University of Kansas professor, Dr Ann Turnbull, the mother of a child with significant disabilities. The webinar is entitled, "Choosing an Exceptional Life: Family-Directed Resource Organizations" and will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at 1:00 PM with a 15 minute question and answer period at the end of the session.

Dr. Ann Turnbull is a professor at the University of Kansas in the field of special education with expertise in special needs/disabilities, family support, family quality of life, and family-professional partnerships. Dr. Turnbull will share some of her insight about finding the right resources for families with special needs; review some common quality of life issues; help participants identify their own family-life priorities; and briefly highlight three national organizations she found helpful in her pursuit of information.
