Europe's DSE Fourth Quarter Messaging
Dear DoWEA Europe Students, Families, and Teachers,
As we enter the final months of the school year, our calendar quickly fills with the moments that make this time so meaningful—spring sports, prom, high school graduation, and important transitions from elementary to middle school and from middle to high school. These milestones reflect growth, achievement, and new beginnings for our students, and we are proud to celebrate each one alongside you.
April offered many opportunities for reflection across our DoWEA Europe community. We recognized the Month of the Military Child, honoring the unique experiences, strengths, and contributions of our military‑connected students. Celebrations such as Purple Up Day and #DoWEAKids Week brought energy, pride, and a strong sense of belonging to our schools and reminded us of the powerful role community plays in supporting our children.
April also gave us the opportunity to recognize many of the dedicated professionals who support students every day, including our librarians, assistant principals, and administrative professionals. Their work—often behind the scenes—helps create the positive, caring, and well‑organized learning environments our students depend on.
As we move into May, this spirit of appreciation continues. The coming weeks include important moments of recognition and reflection, from Military Appreciation Month and Teacher Appreciation Week to Principal Appreciation and School Nurse Day, Mother’s Day, and Memorial Day. Together, these observances remind us of the many individuals whose service, care, and commitment contribute to the success and well‑being of our students and school communities.
As we begin to wrap up the school year, we want to sincerely thank you—our families—for your continued partnership and support. Together, we have helped our students learn, grow, and prepare for what comes next. We look forward to celebrating these final milestones with you and finishing the year strong.
Sincerely,
Dr. Michelle Howard-Brahaney
