Department of Defense Education Activity

We, the faculty, staff and administrators welcome you to Hohenfels Middle High School. We are here to serve our students and their families. We ask that you take the time to familiarize yourself with our Student Handbook (available on this website). In it, you will find our school’s educational programming and operating procedures.

The Department of Defense Education Activity’s (DoDEA) vision is: “Excellence in Education for Every Student, Every Day, Everywhere” and the mission is: “Educate, Engage, and Empower military-connected students to succeed in a dynamic world”. Our school takes pride in following our vision and mission through our CAR program by accepting all challenges in a Calm, Alert, and Respectful manner.

DoDEA is continually changing, growing and stretching in new ways to provide a quality 21st Century education for our students. As part of our continual growth, we have implemented our College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) in Mathematics, Literacy, Social Studies, Science, Fine Arts and Career &Technical Education programs in our school.

At HMHS, we have an open door policy and invite all of our stakeholders to visit our school and become a part of the pride we share. We want to encourage our community members to become a part of the many great things that are happening at HMHS as volunteers for our Continual School Improvement (CSI) process, simply to help out in our school or as a fan of our many clubs or teams.

Our school mascot is the Siberian Tiger! Be like our tiger: walk with dignity and respect, making the right choices. Show your uniqueness and demonstrate your school spirit and pride in everything that you do.

We look forward to helping you experience the BEST school year ever here at Hohenfels Middle High School.
