Angelia Hadley Named DoDEA West Districts’ Community Superintendent for Brussels, AFNORTH, and Spangdahlem
SEMBACH, Germany — Dr. Michelle Howard-Brahaney, Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Europe Director for Student Excellence, is pleased to announce the selection of Mrs. Angelia Hadley as the Community Superintendent for Brussels, AFNORTH, and Spangdahlem.
“Mrs. Hadley exemplifies the spirit of excellence and dedication that defines DoDEA leadership,” said Howard-Brahaney. “Her extensive experience as both an educator and administrator, combined with her strong commitment to the military community, will continue to strengthen our schools and enhance student success across the region.”
Hadley brings more than 23 years of experience in education, including over a decade in school administration. For the past seven years, she has served as Principal of Aukamm Elementary School, where she has been recognized for fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement among students and staff.
Before joining Aukamm, Mrs. Hadley served as the Assistant Principal at The Sullivans Elementary School in Yokosuka, Japan, where she developed her expertise in educational leadership and community partnership. Her teaching career includes positions at Havelock Elementary in North Carolina, Ronald Reagan Elementary in Arizona, Zukeran Elementary in Okinawa, Japan, and Yokota West Elementary in Yokota, Japan.
A native of Texas, Hadley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from East Carolina University and a Master of Education in Administration from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
Deeply rooted in the military community, Hadley’s husband is a retired United States Marine, and their two children—both graduates of DoDEA high schools—reflect the family’s lifelong connection to military service and education.
Hadley is eager to begin this new chapter and to continue advancing DoDEA’s mission of ensuring excellence in education for every student, every day, everywhere.
