Director Beth Narvaez welcomes back students and families for School Year 2025/26
Dr. Beth Narvaez welcomed back students, family, and staff to DoDEA for the 2025/26 school year.  In her video she celebrated DoDEA’s success implementing Universal Prekindergarten over the past two years, and announced that the program would be expanded to include six more schools this year. Â
Those schools which will now have full-day Prekindergarten (PK) as of the 2025/26 school year are Barkley, Barsanti, Lucas, and Marshall Elementary Schools at Fort Campbell, and Kleine Brogel Elementary and Ramstein Elementary School.Â
This year, DoDEA schools in the Americas and Guam will align with our schools in Europe and the Pacific by Transitioning from School Boards to School Advisory Committees and Installation Advisory Committees.Â
Dr. Narvaez announced that Mahaffey Middle School is being renamed as Fort Campbell Middle School, and that Sembach Elementary School and Quantico Middle High School are moving into new facilities this school year.

DoDEA has ranked as the top performing school system two times in a row on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) test, also known as the Nation’s Report Card. Much of this success can be attributed to DoDEA’s strategic plan, known as the Blueprint for Continuous Improvement. Dr. Narvaez is pleased to announce that a new Blueprint has just been published for school years 2025 to 2030, and encourages everyone to visit DoDEA.edu/Blueprint to learn more.
