Erin Grazak Named DoDEA West Districts’ Community Superintendent for United Kingdom Schools

SEMBACH, Germany — Dr. Michelle Howard-Brahaney, Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Europe Director for Student Excellence, is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Erin Grazak as the Community Superintendent for United Kingdom Schools within the DoDEA Europe West District.

“Ms. Grazak is an accomplished and dedicated educational leader whose extensive experience and commitment to student success make her an exceptional choice for this role,” said Howard-Brahaney. “Her deep understanding of DoDEA’s mission and her strong leadership record will continue to enhance academic excellence across the United Kingdom school communities.”

Grazak is a career educator with more than 26 years of experience as a DoDEA teacher and instructional leader. She began her DoDEA career in 1999 at Baumholder High School, Germany, where she taught social studies before moving to Ramstein Middle School the following school year.

In 2012, Ms. Grazak joined the Korea District (Pacific West District) where she served as Assistant Principal at Seoul American Middle School and Seoul American High School and as Principal at Humphreys High School.  Ms. Grazak joined the Pacific East District in 2022 first as Chief of Staff before transitioning to her current position as Community Superintendent for the CFA Yokosuka, CFA Sasebo, and MCAS Iwakuni complexes.

Grazak holds a Master of Arts in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Grazak brings a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for student achievement to her new role, where she will oversee DoDEA schools across the United Kingdom and support continued collaboration among educators, families, and military partners.
