Mrs. Montanez received the Employee of the Quarter award for second-quarter 2025.Â
Montanez led the coordination of school calendars for SY 25–26 and SY 27–28 across all regions, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and instructional time requirements. Her meticulous work streamlined a complex process involving multiple stakeholders.Â
Montanez also played a key role in revamping the DoDEA Student Handbook to improve accessibility and policy alignment. She introduced a parent acknowledgment system that reduced administrative burden on teachers.Â
She provided oversight for the School Volunteer Program and helped develop a comprehensive policy integrating guides and Standard Operating Procedures.Â
She initiated the creation of a Cornerstone training course to better prepare volunteers for meaningful engagement. She also launched a monthly series of morale-boosting messages during times of organizational change. These messages focused on themes such as mindfulness, resiliency, synergy, and execution, helping staff stay grounded in DoDEA’s mission.Â
