Ms. Laressa K. Wong

Ms. Laressa Wong, from Edgren Middle High School in the Pacific East District received the Employee of the Quarter award for her exceptional leadership and dedication. 

During this quarter, she expertly managed resource and budget operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and improving cost efficiency. Her oversight of the Government Purchase Card (GPC) program and proactive communication kept school operations smooth and timely. Ms. Wong maintained the integrity of student data by managing enrollment, attendance, and tuition processes, streamlining workflows and supporting mission-critical operations. 

Ms. Wong demonstrated strong accountability in logistics and property management, ensuring accurate inventory reporting and readiness of resources. As facility manager and asbestos coordinator, she enforced safety protocols, led drills, and responded to emergencies, safeguarding the school environment. 

During staffing gaps, Ms. Wong trained new office staff, supervised personnel, and performed dual roles as Administrative Officer and secretary, ensuring continuity. She also supported leadership by assisting the Principal during the Assistant Principal’s absence and actively contributed to committees and Continuous School Improvement initiatives. Her adaptability, professionalism, and commitment have made her a cornerstone of the school’s success and a model of excellence.
